Fun In The Sun- Stephanie Buice

Hi everyone, Happy Monday! Today I'm sharing a layout that was on the Doodlebug blog a few weeks ago using new Sunkissed collection.
The colors and patterns in this collection scream fun summer sun and long days at the pool.
I jumped at the chance to use one of my favorite summer photos of my son having his first swim in his pool.
Fun In The Sun:

When I'm short on time but have a layout that needs done I often reach for my sketch book.
I wanted a sketch that would allow me to work in as many of the papers as I possibly could but still felt clean and put together. I chose to go with this one and it was the perfect fit!
I Stared by punching out different sizes of circles and layering them together in a grid.
Then I chose my top and bottom border strips and sewed them down.

After I got the bottom and top borders in place I started sewing down the center circles from top to bottom leaving equal spaces between them. Each circle is different with unique sizes and patterns.
After the circles were all secure I began layering my other elements. I used a card from the back of the "Green Grass" paper as my title and added my picture onto of it.
I used some of the Fancy Frills border stickers under is along with some strips of the new summer wash tapes. I really like all the color they brought in,  they helped balance off the bottom of the page.
I snuck in some of the This and That Stickers and the Mr.Sunshine Doodlepop. The sunglasses from the Summer Sprinkles Shapes accessorized him, so cute!

Two of my favorite things when it comes to playing with paper are layers and colors, this collection feeds both of my loves! I'm pretty sure you will find the same when you pair it with your summer memories. Thanks for visiting!
Stephanie.
